The constellation of Virgo is one of the most galaxy-rich areas of our sky, as it is not in the direction of our own galaxy, and a large cluster of galaxies is visible in the region.
I aimed my ST80 refractor at the area of Messier galaxies M84 and M86, and took a series of images with the EOS300D camera. The resulting picture contains at least 29 identifiable galaxies, which I have labelled. |

| The picture was composed of 15 30-second images, and one 5-minute frame. They were stacked in K3CCDTools. Post processing was done using PixInsight LE and The Gimp. | |
